What is scientist in general? 

Scientists contribute to the understanding of how the world works by conducting experiments that lead to the creation of new things. They have a unique ability to see the world from a different perspective and to uncover the truths that lie beneath the surface of nature’s mysteries. 

Scientists put their knowledge to use to help people, animals, and plants in their research. Everywhere you look, you will find evidence of science and its implementations in our daily activities. Because there are so many different areas of study, a scientist will choose the one that captivates his or her interest. How about mad scientists? 

James Cameron is a self-proclaimed “crazy scientist” who also happens to be the director of two of the highest-grossing films ever made: Titanic and Avatar. Steve Jobs, the inventor and CEO of Apple Computer, was known as a “mad scientist.” Ludwig Beethoven, Henry Ford, and Amelia Earhart were all born in the same year. It’s impossible to ignore their enormous accomplishments or their great gifts. 

The term “mad scientists” does not allude to some nasty, maladjusted type such as Dr. Stranger, Dr. No, or Frankenstein, but rather to a catch-all phrase for the talented, eccentric, and unusual wild ducks who occasionally enter organizations to do their thing. The nerds, the whiz kids with no manners, and the tremendous talents who simply march to the beat of their own drum are all represented. For the majority of organizations, they are a mixed bag of blessings. 

All “totally insane scientists” share a set of admirable characteristics in common: they are smart, visionary, perfectionists, and intensely driven. They are also exceedingly difficult to work with since they are extremely bull-headed, egotistical, irreverent, and, at times, borderline insane. Organizations are unable to tolerate a large number of “crazy scientists.” They infringe on the sacredness of stability and order. 

The removal of all “crazy scientists” is a goal for some organisations. Unless these misfits are covered by holding a position of authority, such as film director, CEO, or business owner, they will be stigmatised, disregarded, and ostracised by their peers. When “crazy scientists” are marginalised, instead of having someone intervene, they should be celebrated. 

It is demanded of them that they “play nice,” rather than embracing their “weirdness” while simultaneously acclaiming their huge victories. In their performance evaluations, they are given little credit for their numerous accomplishments, and only their “does not get along with others” characteristic is highlighted. They are advised to hire a coach, read a book, or consult with a counsellor. Because they are not recognized for their contributions, the majority of employees leave for larger fields, not simply greener ones.
